Tracing the footsteps of Inner Wheel District 322, celebrating decades of impactful service, leadership, and unwavering commitment to community welfare across Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Inner Wheel District 322 was formed in 1985, bifurcating from District 321. The District was inaugurated by IIW President Minna Kapur on 7th October 1985. Mrs. Mala Edirisinghe was installed as the first District Chairman.
The District extended its reach to the Maldives with the Charter of the Inner Wheel Club of Male on 21st April 1993.
Inner Wheel District 322 played a significant role in providing relief and rehabilitation to those affected by the devastating tsunami on 26th December 2004. Rebuilding homes, schools and livelihoods.
A landmark year for the district, hosting the International Inner Wheel Convention in Colombo, welcoming delegates from across the globe.
Despite global challenges, the district adapted quickly to virtual platforms, continuing service projects and maintaining fellowship through digital means.
Today, District 322 stands strong with over 22 clubs and 500+ members, actively contributing to Goals of International Inner Wheel and serving communities in need.
